Kangaroo Valley

Australia Home

We left Katoomba and the Blue Mountains and headed to Kangaroo Valley. It is one of only 7 fully enclosed valleys in the world. That means you have ride down a mountain range to get in, and up a range to get out. The valley is sided in by the Barrengarry range on the west and Cambewarra to the east, each about 3000ft. high. We stayed at one of the best B&B's we've been to, Laurel Bank. We achieved total relaxdom here, attributable in part to the area, the hosts, two weeks on the road, the huge tubs, the great food, the great riding, the list goes on. I think we finally had relaxed and de-stressed, and it was great! On our way to the valley, we stopped at Fitzroy Falls to enjoy the falls inspite of the drought. We rode around the area for a few days exploring. It was about 120F one day, not fun to be on a big hot full dresser HD, but as we were riding up Cambewarra Mtn, a sea mist came in and the temp dropped 40F in 10 minutes! It was amazing, and we then wished we had brought our jackets with us!

Chris had 4 bikes, a Harley, Ducati, Norton Fastback, and a new Triumph
